Swimming

Against the current…

and drowning in laundry!

Thank heavens today is the Feast Of The Immaculate Conception.  Our parish school is out for the day and I’m having a super terrific middle school young lady ride home with me after mass and fold until her fingers have blisters.

She will be paid well for saving my sanity.

I’m trying to work a once-a-week-or-so house help with her, grooming for eventual babysitting.  Also Farmer Boy may have designs on marrying her eventually.

  1. THAT IS AWESOME!
Also, for a second I thought you were saying My Farmer might have designs on marrying her. Made me laugh out loud, is that bad? On a related note, you should watch Big Love if you haven’t yet.

  2. Where can I get one of those??? I am so far behind that I have boys (in particular the big boy) saying that they have no more clean underwear. Most of it is washed, just in a horrendously big pile that need sto be folded.

  3. Hahaha, Darlene, you should read back that entire comment…it’s hysterical! Meg, I don’t know why I never thought of it before. She was super psyched to be working, earning money and pre-babysitting. I was able to have uninterrupted school and the kids all gravitated to the room she was folding to do paperwork when I was working one-on-one with someone else. She was very patient and sweet to the kids and OMGIHA (omygodinheavenabove – i just made that up, like it?) she got so much done. It was so worth every little bit. I usually have the kids helping me with that but they aren’t nearly as willing or pleasant during work time and holy cow I just want to say again I cannot believe how fast she folded that laundry. The towels looked like she was ready for a drill seargent to inspect them. I can’t wait for next week…
