Here are some pictures Shooter took while we were gardening yesterday:
Farmer Boy helped haul manure from the loafing shed in the cow lot to put in our asparagus trench.
I love this picture of my Farmer Boy - gloves, hoe, cap, wranglers, boots. A mini Daddy.
The kitten, Dottie, on top of the raked pile of marigolds that edged the garden last year, which I’m hoping will seed this area along the lilac bushes.
My helper putting out the tomato cages.
I know I already had one of the cat, but it was really about the marigolds and lilacs, and this one is more about the great photo that Shooter took than about Dot.
Lunch break under the red bud tree: Homemade bread slices with honey on top, berries, apples.
Yikes, this is what happens when you don’t wash your hair for a few days and then get rained on – but it was fun and I’m so glad we got so much done before the big rain last night.
Feverish little cowgirl watching us, wearing (of course) a bathing suit.
Everything in the garden is later than I wanted this year, except I got the first rows of sweet corn in early this year – for the first time ever. Usually I start peas and spinach early in the spring and get more and more behind with other crops as the year goes on…hopefully I had a slow start but can do a better job of maintaining this year.

Shooter is quite the little photographer!
Great photos!
