Here is a picture of some of the area we are painting. We are on the home stretch now! The prep work was pretty extensive – three rooms which are all connected needing all the furniture moved and covered (okay, there was none of that in the hallway so only two rooms of furniture) walls and ceilings to be wiped down, some extensive crack repair (followed by sanding and re-wiping), and finally all the edging. Cutting in the edges was a long project, as there is a ton of woodwork in these areas. I did a lot of taping and utilized several different tools to get around the beams in the ceiling, the edges of the cabinets, the plate shelves that run the length of the entire kitchen. But we can see light at the end of the tunnel now! And I must say, weird though it is, my ceiling has never looked better.

I love your little helpers! They look like they are having fun there too!
Alex STILL talks about the time he helped me paint the bathroom – making memories you are!
Congratulations on the undertaking. I bet it will be so wonderful to not have it on your eternal list of big projects!
